Friday, August 3, 2007 Update
Well, Jess is still doing well and still working very hard at her therapy. We haven’t done the hyperbaric yet. There were some scheduling conflicts but we hope to have something scheduled by the end of August.
Jessica’s therapy will go to 3 days a week at the end of August. She will continue with tutoring and is doing very well. Her tutor, Stephanie Harker, enjoys having Jess for a student and they are learning ton’s of stuff. Jess catches on really fast and retains alot of what is taught. She has a break from voice lessons till the end of August but in the meantime, has instructions to learn three new songs. It’s not Jessica’s favorite thing to do and still she is so very cooperative and tries hard. The last time we were at the voice, she sang a song that she had been practicing from “Le Miserable”. It is called “Castle on a Cloud”. She sang it absolutely beautifully. Not without error, but with feeling and thought and innocence. Trying to practice all the things she had been taught so far. It brought tears to both the teacher and my eyes. Keep trying Jess! You may not become an opera singer but it will be a wonderful skill to have. You’ll sing lullabies to your children someday.
We feel blessed and are so humbly grateful for our continued miracle. Not only with Jessica but in the people that we are becoming.
Jessica told me she has never once thought in her mind that she wouldn’t walk. She continues to try and does walk a few feet on her own. The brace for her left leg is not here yet but we feel that it is going to help her tremendously. We can’t wait till she gets it.
Jessica has finished more quilts and is planning to make more. She made two for the girls in Littleton Colorado. We hope this will help them and give them strength. Hang on Haley and Malloree, it’s a time thing. That wonderful four letter word T-I-M-E.
As a family, we are going to the Rush concert on the 6th of August. Kind of a fluke thing that Tim did months ago with buying the tickets. We are all jazzed about it. Mabey we will try to get some good pictures for the website.
Mr. Pennsylvania will be home August 9th. What more can we say? I’ts been two long years and we all have missed him. We don’t know what the future brings but we know we will always have a friend in Mr. Pennsylvania.
We continue to pray for Jessica’s progress and her future. We pray for her left him to strengthen and for her brain to make those connections.
Always dedicated
