Hey Jess! I don’t know if you will remember me, but I worked with you at Brick Oven. For some reason I was thinking of you today. I remember every Wed morning when we would open together and have our Rockstars! Every time I see those, that’s what I think of! I’m sorry I haven’t kept in touch, but I’m so grateful for the miracle you are! God has truly shown me that he is real and that he still does perform miracles. I hope all is well with you! Thank you for the fun memories!

Love,
Tresa

Hi Jessica, you don’t know me but I found out about you through a missionary in your ward–Elder Wing. You see, I have a daughter, Shanna, who was also injured in a car accident 4 years ago this month. Reading your website was like reading about Shanna. It brought back so many memories. The car accident, the coma, the trach and feeding tube. Extensive rehab that included learning to sit, stand, walk, talk and on and on. Does this sound familiar? I just want you to know that you should never give up! Things will continue to improve. Keep working hard even when you don’t want to or don’t think it’s important. I know things will get better. Shanna was in the hospital here in Lubbock, Texas for 5 months. We then went to the Dallas area for another 10 months for neurological rehab. When she got back home she continued physical therapy, hippotherapy (horse therapy) and counseling for another 18 months. It is a slow process but it has paid off. She was able to go back to school and graduate with her class. She works now in an elementary school and loves being around the little kids and being able to help them. She met a wonderful young man that loves and adores her and they were married in the Lubbock Temple on August 10th—just last month. She is very happy and even though she still has some limitations, she has a wonderful life and it continues to improve each day. I know Jessica, that Heavenly Father has something special for you. You wouldn’t be here if that wasn’t the case. He has already blessed you so much. Having a good family is the first blessing. I talked to your mom for a long time last night and I feel like I’ve known her forever. I know what she has been through and she knows how I feel. Even though we can’t know exactly what you and Shanna have been though or why, we do know that Heavenly Father loves you and has a purpose for you.

Geri, I enjoyed our conversation last night and hope we can meet someday. I know this is not an easy thing you and your family are going through but it will get easier. You have done so much to help Jessica get this far and I know she will continue to improve. Please know our family is here for you. If you ever have questions, need to talk or need ANYTHING please let me know.

Jessica, even though I don’t know you, I love you! I love your pictures, I can tell by your big smile and shining eyes that you are a happy, positive person. Keep it up! Things are hard now but as time passes this will too. You will be walking before you know it but you have to do what your doctors and therapists tell you. I know it’s not easy, but you can do it! I want you to know that you and your family will be in our prayers. If you ever want to talk to me or Shanna your mom has my number. Keep up the good work!

Love,
Cindi Davis

Jessica,

It was inspiring speaking with your mother and grandmother today. They love you so much. Your mom is a real fighter as I’m sure you are as well! My wife Naomi and I look forward to getting to know you and your family better and learning more from you and your experiences. We want to help in EVERY way we can. Keep up the good work and God bless.

What a beautiful letter that was from Texas. It helps knowing that you are not alone. I love reading the website.
Keep up with the good work. As a child I also suffered from a headwound I know exactly how hard it is. I think about you often.

Hello Jessica and Family!
You may remeber me and you may not but I was first on scene at your accident!I tried to see you shortly after but never seemed to get that chance. I guess tings happen for a reason! I just want you to know Jessica that I love you very much! although what happened to you was not pleasant for me, the experience that I had was unforgettably wonderful and has blessed me everyday! The many things you helped me to feel and the lessons I learned! Everyday I get to see different things in a new and colorful perspective! someone once told me ” you don’t have to just see it all plain! things always look better in color!” my experience with you helped remind me yesterday is gone and tomorrow is never promised, but right now while it lasts…. LIFE… is for living! so everday I’m gonna live, laugh, and love! Thank you Jessica!

Most Greatfully,

Darren Robinson
