February 11, 2008 Update

Dear Friends and Family-
I know it’s been a while since the last update. Our family has een busy with the January 5th wedding of our oldest daughter Sara- what a happy time! How exciting it is to see how the Lord works His blessings in our lives. How a plan was set up long efore we knew it- Thank you to the Smith family for a kind, patient daughter and an incredible valiant son. How blessed we are because of them.
Jessica is doing well. Although there are times when she gets discouraged (who wouldn’t) she still is so strong physically and emotionally. She has a desire to serve but just hasn’t figured it out yet. She has a tendency to say she’ll do things when she can walk. We are trying to encourage her to get out and be a little more social, it’s a tough situation. We are trying to find where these opportunities might be. We have to remind ourselves that it’s the journey getting there!  And not to think so much about the ultimate goal, but to learn and enjoy the journey, and eventually that goal will be here before we know it. There are some wonderful opportunities that are coming our way soon having to do with some brain imaging and tasting to better help is to know how to help Jess. More details on this later next month.
Jessica still goes to physical therapy twice a week for 2 and a half hours and works out at the gym 3 times a week for 2 hours. She loves to get on the eliptical and now can go a imle in about 25 minutes, it’s the way she gets her cardio in. It’s great! She is so strong and in such good shape! Jessica’s walking is coming and her therapist Von Hill is so encouraging and guves us so much hope, he tells us that he see’s improvement in Jess every week. We are looking forward to warmer weather and getting outside more.
Kade turned 2 on the 11th. Wow how time does go by. Sometimes slow and sometimes fast. Kade has been such a blessing in our lives filling a sad void on a daily basis with simple joys, smiles and hugs. Trust in the Lord. He knows what we need. He knows our hearts and finds a way to heal when healing is so needed. Thank you for thinking of Jess and keeping her in your prayers. We love you all.
Always dedicated to Jess,
The Krehbiels

Jessica-
I know that it has been a very long time since anybody in my family has contacted you. However, when I saw you in Outback with your family, it made me miss you so much. Jessica we have shared a lot of great memories together and I hope you know that I will always love you no matter what. I feel a lot of guilt that we lost touch, but not one day goes by that I don’t think about you and how proud I am of your progress. Jessica, I love you so much. I hope that we can be friends again and I want you to know that You have been such an inspiration in my life. Without you Jessica, who knows what my life and what my family’s life would be like. Thank you for everything that have done for us. I love you so much. I Hope all is well and You are so beautiful.
Love always-

Hi, we appreciated the comment from Jessica’s mom and Justin’s website. I have let him read the story of Jessica and he wanted me to write and see how she is coming along he keeps her in his prayers everyday. It’s amazing how much their injuries from their accidents were so much the same. Justin is still struggling to walk but he has been working on crawling first to get his balance and coordination back. His goals are to crawl, get dressed, shower, and then one day be able to walk again all baby steps.
We are praying that things are going good for Jessica and your family. If Jessica ever wants to write to Justin or even talk she can call him at 435-632-7440
or comment on his website. Hope to hear from you again. Kim Lake (tuft’s mom) and Justin.

Hello, We just wanted to see how Jessica is coming along. My son Justin wanted to send a message to her that he keeps her in his prayers everyday and hope for a quick recovery for her. We want to thank Jessica’s mom for her comment she made on Justin’s website. He is coming along but gets frustrated alot with himself because he wants to do everything he used to do. We are working on balance and coordination for him so he is learning to crawl to help with that. Justin wants Jessica to know if she ever wants to talk to call him at 435-632-7440 and send a message on his website. We wish you all the best and will continue to pray for you and your family.

Jessica, my son Justin was in an accident on Sept. 7, 2006 when he was hit head on by a van. We have been following your progress since that happened when a good friend of his told us to read your story. This friend also went to school with you her name is Lacy. Justin is very intrigued of how well you seem to be doing. We would like to thank your mom for the comment she wrote on Justin’s blog. If you ever want to talk with someone who has gone thru almost the same struggles as you have Justin would love to talk with you or write. His cell # is 435-632-7440 or home # is 435-628-6023 he loves talking on the phone and is a very good listener. We keep you in our daily prayers and hope everyday gets better and better. with love Kim and Justin
